My 3-day vacation in Hong Kong

Unfortunately the weather in Hong Kong was terrible - raining and windy - during my entire stay.

Borrowing an umbrella from the hotel, I went shopping to the mall near the hote, which is mostly what I did every day of my stay. Yet, I enjoyed doing that, especially I got to go shopping at Zara, which I really love, and bought some summer dresses!

Right after I arrived at the Hong Kong airport, I took the train into Kowloon. And the saddest thing happened! I calculated the taxi fare wrong and I paid the driver 100 times the actual fare! It had to be something to do with my many taxi uses in Vietnam, where the taxi meter showed two digits but the actual fare was three digits. I wished the driver could've returned me the money, but he didn't. And right after I got out of the car, he just ran away, without saying nothing and without paying me back what he owed me!

Anyway, my first couple of hours in Hong Kong was bad, but I had good meals every day of my stay. Right after I checked into the hotel, I decided to cheer me up at a nice and fascinating restaurant in Intercontinental with some good French champagne and smoked salmon. And with such beautiful view of Hong Kong island!

Next day, I had dim sum at a restaurant near the hotel, where locals were enjoying their Saturday branch. For dinner that day, I went to SOHO (South of Hollywood road) and had great Italian food at Al Dente, where I love to go every time I visit Hong Kong. A female waitress there is always nice to me and this time, too, she was nice, taking care of my drinks and foods just the way I liked.

On my third and last day of my stay in Hong Kong, for dinner, I booked a table at "Panorama", where I could enjoy beautiful view and fantastic seafood! Afterwards I decided to go outside, as the rain had stopped, and I took a walk for a while just to remind myself how lucky I was to be able to take a break and come to such a brautiful tropical island like Hong Kong!

Like I said, the weather there was not so great, and not all went like the way I planned, but I enjoyed every minute of my stay in Hong Kong, even the sad experience with the taxi on my arrival day! I enjoyed every moment of my stay because that's how life goes and that's the most fun part of it.
